I spent my winter season working for whistler ski school support staff and loved it. The accommodation was basic but it doesn’t matter cause whistler is an amazing place not only for skiing but also socially.

This trip was so much fun. You meet all of the other "oysters" in the airport and travel together meaning you sort of arrive with a few friends. oyster organise transport up to the resort and help you get set up with everything you need (E.G. SIN numbers and a bank account) they also guarantee staff housing which is so important in Whistler as it is hard to come by on your own. we all lived on the same corridor and got along so well. your living with like-minded people all working similar hours ...
