Program Highlights

Learn first-hand from professionals about animal husbandry, the care and treatment of wild animals in captivity, rescue and rehabilitation, and the wonderful unpredictable world of wildlife!

Have the opportunity to help stranded or rescued seals, penguins, or other pelagic birds—as this project is close to the sea.

Assist with the needs of wildlife that may be in rehabilitation at the time, including the medical treatment of sick or injured wild animals at the on-site clinic and hospital.

Work in the company of wildlife animals you normally won’t see back home – lions, leopard, cheetah, servals, African wild cat, meerkats, and a variety of birds like cranes, storks, and owls.

Enjoy plenty of activities on your days off like safaris, seal snorkeling, whale watching, ziplining, kayaking, skydiving, shopping, or just taking in some sun on one of the wonderful beaches.

I worked with a lot of African penguins and learned everything from admitting, treating injuries, medicating, assessing hydration and tubing electrolytes solution.
