Very good course, I've learnt a lot during those two days. Group size was just perfect and the venue ideal - comfy and quiet. Free refreshments (hot and cold) were a huge bonus and much needed. Tony was excellent, very knowledgeable and approachable - thanks a lot!

I was kind of dreading spending from 9am-8pm 9am-6pm in a class room for the weekend but it was amazing! Although it was a long day it didn't feel like it as there wasn't a single part of the day that I thought wasn't useful or boring.
Simon is a fantastic teacher, really engaging and you can tell he is genuinely there to help new teacher/because he enjoys the subject - couldn't rate him any higher!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and learnt a tremendous amount, thanks to the excellent tutor, Simon. He applied the TEFL methodology to teach twelve of us the same, with lots of activities, including a beginner's Italian lesson, and with reference to his considerable experience. It was fun but intense, and I was close to information overload by the time we were playing 'Only Connect' with TEFL terms and team playing grammar terms on Sunday afternoon. I was glad that I'd completed the Grammar on-line module beforehand. All-in-all a worthwhile and useful experience for my volunteer work here in the UK. Thank you!

Intensive weekend course

The weekend classroom course with Steve was absolutely brilliant.  Steve was a great course leader and made the (long!) weekend a lot of fun.  I haven't laughed so much in ages and I really appreciated how he brought the course alive with all the fun activities and with his humour.  I really felt inspired, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend experience and the great group of people we had there.  I had been slightly nervous that I might be the only 'older' student and everyone else would be newly graduated 'young-uns', but I need not have worried as by the middle of the first morning we had all bonded and the age gap seemed irrelevant.  That is thanks mainly to Steve and all the varied and sometimes crazy activities he made us do.

Excellent

I had no previous experience of teaching but this two day workshop gently introduced us to what we might be doing then quickly ramped up! The class was engaging, extremely interesting and lots of fun despite the challenges!

Excellent course

I really enjoyed this course because it was very well run, professional, interactive but most of all lots of fun.
I loved the fact that there was no PowerPoint presentation involved. This way, I feel I’ve learned a lot more.
Liz did a great job and the time just flew by.
Absolutely brilliant!

The 20 Hour classroom course was well structured and everyone who I met was so kind and fun. If you do have the opportunity to go to these courses, go! You will make good friends, gain confidence and learn a lot of valuable skills to take into your future classes with students.

Great course

Steve was the instructor on my course and he was great. He was brilliant at getting us talking to each other and breaking the ice, made the 20 hours fly by. The course was a mix of hands-on, practical experience and fun games and activities that helped break it up. Steve really knew his stuff and was more than helpful with any questions any of us had and even offered me extra advice with job interviews etc. for after the course had finished.
