Program Highlights

Organize and implement educational programs in our facilities, school facilities, camps, green spaces, and urban parks of Larissa.

Take on tasks based on your training and skills: shadow a doctor or nurse, assist with general check-ups or dental procedures, or help in the community pharmacy.

Get the chance to shadow medical professionals in another high-resource country like Greece, which faces the same diseases as the US but employs different approaches.

Join Philotimo activities such as excursions and group meals, and still have free time on top of that.

Acquire essential knowledge through personal observation and experience, all while developing empathy, cooperation, teamwork, self-esteem, self-respect, and responsibility.

My experience on the Medical mission in Larissa is truly amazing I can't even begin to describe this life-changing trip! Volunteering at the shelter was really hands-on, and I learned so much from the staff there, they were so involved and made sure we learned as much as we could, helped as much as possible, and let us feel welcome! I met amazing people there from whom I am so grateful for everything !!! This trip also allowed me to meet other volunteers from all around the world !! I made life...

If I had to choose again a project I would choose this one with the volunteer project. The organization lets you feel at home with a lot of friends, opportunities, and learning that never stops. The medical project was amazing, in the hospital and at the shelter they let me do a lot of things on my own and I felt part of the team from the first day! If you have to ch...

The description of the accommodation was accurate, so I was prepared to be with another female student. I was able to meet people from all over the world in different projects and at the hospital. I went in July, and since it is the peak of summer in Larissa it was very hot. Once I arrived, the Philotimo team in Greece was very we...
