The course was rigorous and serious. But my classmates and I received a lot of support from the instructors, Sean and Christina. There was a good balance between seat work, where we learned the theory, and practical work (mini-lessons and classroom teaching) where we practiced what we had been taught. Besides the content, the program (and instructors) build a strong community among my classmates that added to the learning. I would recommend the program without qualification.

From day one we were learning, practicing, reviewing, receiving feedback, etc. It was an intense month! We grew as TEFL students, teachers and as a group of friends. Our instructor, Sean, was there to encourage us and push us when we needed it. He made us believe we could do this, and then we did! I’m forever grateful for the experience and look forward to a future in teaching abroad!

I have always had good rapport and good STT with my students, but after this course, STT will increase a lot. The techniques are wonderful and if you think that you only use English as the medium of communication and learning, it's actually amazing! What I also like is that Maximo Nivel offers a life long relationship - help for improving my Resume, finding job advertisements and placements. Fantastic!

Last year, my husband and I visited Cusco briefly as a part of guided tour of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. Over the four or five days we were there, I was thrilled to feel my Spanish-speaking muscles bulking up quickly. On a cab ride back from the train station at Ollantaytambo on our second to last day, I was practicing my Spanish with the cab driver. He mentioned that many Cusquenas and Peruvians want to learn English and take advantage of the area's booming tourism industry. In that dark and bumpy ride, I began planning my return trip! The clouds of ideas were forming. I wanted to learn to teach English as a Second Language, and teach it Cusco.
