As Malawi's leading conservation organization, our work spans wildlife rescue and welfare, education, advocacy, justice, and research. The Lilongwe Wildlife Centre is regarded as one of the top sanctuaries in Africa, with accreditations from the world's most respected animal welfare bodies - GFAS, PASA, and Born Free. In October 2023, Lilongwe Wildlife Centre won the GFAS 2023 Outstanding International Sanctuary Award. The veterinary component runs in the mornings (8:00 am – 12: 30 pm), from Tuesday to Friday. Students work under one of the Trust's two experienced wildlife vets on different activities including diagnostics, preventative health checks under sedation, parasite management, and other treatment plans.
