Unique Volunteering & Living Experience in France

I volunteered at La Giraudiere in 2017 and I stayed there for 4 weeks. During that time I carried out all types of tasks from mixing cement to writing blogs all of which I had never done before. I have just spent 3 weeks at La Giraudiere travelling from Australia to work on "The Project". There was no evidence of the project during my whole stay and I found myself cleaning kitchens/bathrooms and preparing lunch in an english speaking environment! I could have stayed in Australia and done that! Paul, the owner/manager was totally focused on the Erasmus project so it was a waste of my time being there as a volunteer for the supposed "Project". I participated at La Giraudiere for a three week volunteering opportunity and it has been the best experience of my life. The home is beautiful, the accommodations excellent, meals (and endless coffee!) are fantastic and the host Paul Rice (and his adorable dog Sidney) are so much fun!
