Izizwe Township Projects, South Africa

Izizwe Township Projects is a nonprofit organization working with and for the community of Walmer Township in South Africa. The team is made up of residents who know where the biggest challenges are for the youth and educare centers. International volunteers team with local volunteers to get first-hand experience of life in this township, gain insight into the challenges facing young people, and see how they can assist with various projects to improve services. Izizwe runs a range of programs volunteers can get involved in and they are always open to new ideas and project proposals. Most projects started with a volunteer having a great idea.
