It is one of the best ways to truly catch a glimpse of the soul of a place. You’ll have a lot of fun and gain valuable skills while your students practice their skills with you learning English in a whole new way. Volunteers will teach for approximately 3 to 5 hours per day five days a week. In this program, volunteers can work by themselves or alongside other teachers and volunteers. Volunteers are also encouraged to work with local teachers to develop new teaching practices and help with their personal conversational English to enable them to teach English in the future. Meeting the children at the slum school and teaching them
March 14, 2023by: Malini WashizawaProgram: Volunteer and Teach English in IndiaThe preparation resources were thorough and helped me with my volunteer program and stay in every way. I was also thankful to IVHQ and their prompt response to my inquiries, as I applied a bit late, and it took time for me to assemble all the necessary documents. The local team were very helpful and friendly. They helped me feel safe and comfortable during the two weeks of my volunteer program. The accommodation was good and satisfied all my needs and wants. Although the food was vegetarian, the menu was almost always different every day, so I greatly enjoyed it. Meeting the children at the slum school and teaching them was my favorite. I got to learn about the children's lives and how different it is from the world I grew up in.
India, the place that changed my perspective in a month
March 06, 2019by: Johana Tello - PeruProgram: Volunteer and Teach English in IndiaI’m Johana, an 18-year-old from Peru. I had the opportunity to volunteer on the Teaching English program in India- Delhi as a solo traveller and was the best decision of my life! My experience was wonderful. I had the chance to meet incredible people from all over the world that showed me I wasn’t alone. We had lots of memories that I can’t even count with my fingers, and every one of those memories helped us grow and mature as people. Also, the staff was so lovely and dedicated, I never felt lost or afraid because they were always there to support me. On the other hand, Teaching was the challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life but with the children’s constant smiles and desire to learn, it encouraged me to apply my creativity. I came to India to teach but I finished learning more from the people I met. Thank you IVHQ for giving the chance to have a life changing experience.

IVHQ India
October 05, 2018by: Jenalee Sehn - CanadaProgram: Volunteer and Teach English in IndiaI had the most amazing time this summer on my volunteer trip to India with IVHQ. The organization is so well prepared to handle all of our needs and was available at a moments notice any time we needed them. I felt the online training and the support service from the program guides assisted us in being as prepared as we could have possibly been. All of the other volunteers were absolutely amazing and I am so grateful to say that I have made so many new friends across the globe. The experience was truly humbling and rewarding and I cannot thank IVHQ enough for providing us with these opportunities and making it as seamless and comforting as possible. I would highly recommend this organization who is thinking about volunteering overseas DO IT. It will change your life in the most amazing way possible. Thank you so much to IVHQ and the New Delhi Team! I will never forget you.
