Before I left, I remember seeing in the videos past volunteers making the claim to take advantage and participate as much as possible to make the most of your experience. I volunteered for a month on this project, based in Merida Mexico. The volunteering was interesting, varied and fulfilling and the people running the placement were friendly and welcoming. The living accommodation was comfortable and spacious, and Oscar, the IVHQ project leader lived on site and was especially helpful and engaged.
