Dental and Medical Assistant

We work with 2 NGOs that assist homeless people and have small clinics where they provide free general care and medical examinations. Volunteer doctors (such as cardiologists, dermatologists, orthopedists, ENTs, oculists, gynecologists, and other specialists) work on rotation. One clinic has 2 dental rooms and is the only place in Naples that provides free complete dental care. Dental volunteers work alongside local dentists and gain experience in practical techniques such as prophylaxis, sealants, restorations, and extractions and in preparing needed tools. Their level of responsibility depends on their training and expertise and the length of stay.
