Join IGS internship programs abroad that support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and define discrimination against women in these terms: “Any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women, irrespective of their marital status, on a basis of equality of men and women, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field.” Interning in women’s advocacy exposes you to sectors like women’s shelters, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, and political advocacy groups, among others. Typical duties include: Networking Research Community engagement Event planning Intake Social media campaigns
