Institute for Global Studies offers hands-on Sports Marketing placements, allowing participants to carry out a variety of internship duties. In the past, we have placed students at Pele's former soccer club in Brazil, the athletic director's office of a Division 1 school in Washington, D.C., a minor league baseball team in New York, a championship-level rugby league in New Zealand, a professional hockey club in Sydney, and with America's Cup-winning yacht club in Auckland. Sports Marketing focuses on two areas: putting fans in the seats and attracting advertising from local businesses.
