Summer French Immersion for Teens in Biarritz, France

This past summer I had the opportunity to do the Horizons Abroad program to France. It was a very enjoyable and unique experience. I really enjoyed spending my afternoons with friends from the trip exploring France. I felt very immersed in the culture, and found it really interesting to stay with a family who lived in France rather then a hotel.

I went to Biarritz with Horizons Abroad. It was my first time traveling to Europe without my family but I met friends from across the US and Europe through the program and at the language school. My host family was great. I liked that we stayed with locals instead of at a hotel. I felt like someone living in Biarritz instead of just visiting. I miss my summer there a lot. It's really the best way to improve your French and experience the French culture in a really unique way!

We had a lot of activities and freedom that made it an incredible experience overall. I would highly recommend for any levels of Spanish or French speakers! The classes were fun and the people were accommodating.
