I was inspired by the life experience that the women had. We definitely learned from each other. They do not have the same academic privilege that we have but they knew so much about planting vegetables, how to deal with snakes and they brought a lot of joy and motivation to the classroom.

An amazing experience and I have made lifelong memories and friends whilst volunteering.

Tara, Sita and the GVI team made me feel welcomed and at home for my week volunteering in Pokhara Nepal for the Women’s Empowerment Program. They are kind, well organised, experienced and really care about all the volunteers and their well-being. They have also taught me so much about Nepalese cult...

Volunteering in Nepal was an incredible experience! I learned so much about local culture and ways of life, while contributing in a meaningful way to help women learn English. I also met other volunteers from around the world, and we shared some amazing experiences sightseeing. I would highly recommend a GVI program to anyone, of any age, who wants to travel purposefully.
