I would recommend GVI Karongwe to anyone seeking an adventure with meaning, wonderful people and wildlife. I am sorry to be leaving and will return ASAP. We have made many great friends while having the time of our lives.

I've had a fantastic time at Karongwe which was better than my first experience. The staff are exceptional and go the extra mile to spread their knowledge. We were exceptionally lucky with the group we had and I'd fully recommend Karongwe to anyone.

I couldn't recommend this experience enough.

I chose to do a GVI program because I wanted to tour South Africa while learning about the local environment and animals. When deciding whether or not to come, I thought about just how much I could learn and decided it would be a great thing for me to do. The staff/ instructors were great! They were all very welcoming, very kind, and very informational. Whenever we had a question we were encouraged to ask.  This experience made me reconsider my entire career. I am currently getting a degree in psychology however this experience made me realize I want to do something in conservation. I am hoping to get a second degree in biology after my psychology degree in order to pursue this. I felt like this experience made me a more confident and capable person. It's a wonderful program where individuals are able to see many animals, learn about South Africa, and meet people from all over the globe! I couldn't recommend this experience enough.
