The village is super unique and life changing!
by: Courtney FuhrimanProgram: Volunteer with Children in ThailandI came to GVI nervous about what to expect. But the staff team and villagers were all so welcoming I had no hard time adjusting at all! The program is super fun, and you are never forced to do anything. If you need a day off, you’ll get one. The village is super unique and life changing! It’s so cool to see how the culture is in Huay Pakkoot. It’s nothing I’ve ever been around before. by: Charlotte Mei ChavezProgram: Volunteer with Children in ThailandI have just finished the Thailand - Chiang Mai program and it was beyond amazing! I was originally supposed to go to Thailand - Phang Nga but I was glad things changed. I met my friends here and have been able to study elephants and gibbons, as well as learn about the villagers and their culture!
I will definitely miss all the students and other volunteers a lot!
by: Charlotte PrestonProgram: Volunteer with Children in ThailandOverall, I have really enjoyed my time on the teaching program in Phang Nga. I got to experience summer camps, adult lessons and teaching in both the Burmese and Thai school. Although I loved all of it, I think my favourite was teaching in the schools. The teaching program really allows you to become integrated into the community. I will definitely miss all the students and other volunteers a lot!
