Of course, the most memorable was visiting the schools in the near by villages. I loved the bus ride to the schools because I was able to get a glimpse of the daily lives of the people of Zanzibar. I enjoyed staying in the home with the other volunteers. I got to meet people from Portugal, Spain, Belgium, France, Finland, and the Netherlands. I had an amazing experience teaching the Masai and nursery children in Moshi! Everything was very well organised for both GoEco and African Impact, and all the pre-departure info was very helpful. I met so many lovely volunteers from around the world, and the community were so welcoming and grateful for us being there - it was nice seeing the difference we had made!
