Our volunteer programs are located in the town of Fort Portal.

What are available accommodation options in Uganda?

Volunteers are accommodated in our volunteer houses, where they live with the rest of the volunteers and local staff who are responsible for preparing three daily meals and handling domestic chores, although volunteers are also encouraged to participate in some of these tasks. The rooms are shared by gender, and bed linens and sheets are changed weekly. Each bed is equipped with a mosquito net.

What is required to join the program?

Volunteers must be 16 years old or older.

What are the program inclusions?

Accommodation in the volunteers’ house in Fort Portal Pickup at airport 3 meals a day 7 days a week 1 orientation day City-tour Introduction to Ugandan culture Support from our local staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week Volunteering certificate (under request)

What is the cost of the program?

The total cost is divided into 2 parts: The registration fee paid to reserve the spot (210€) and the program fee. The program fee starts at 300€ for one week and 280€ for each additional week.

Volcop Uganda, located in Kyamukerege village, Nyabukara, within the western region of Kabarole district, stands as a registered community organization dedicated to the innovative Family Responsibility System. This system transcends conventional assistance, embodying a shared commitment among family members to attain self-sufficiency. It operates on a feedback-driven process, incorporating control mechanisms where results from activities continuously inform adjustments for optimized behavior. In partnership with 70 families, Volcop implements projects where each family designates delegates responsible for monitoring, controlling, and planning individual programs.
