I was invited on this missionary trip by a fellow coach. It was a total of 16 coaches who embarked on this journey. We had an idea it would be hard, but I don’t think any of us fully knew what we were getting into. From the first zoom calls, to arriving in DR, setting up at base camp, hiking, everything we were fully informed of what to expect and we were in for an amazing journey. Hiking Pico Duarte with BLUE Missions was one the most incredible and rewarding things I have ever experienced. The trip was spent among great friends, with beautiful views and inspiring meditations. The trip was equal parts challenging and fun with a lot of moments for self-reflection and meditation. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for an inspiring experience made better by great company and a great purpose.

The trek is a lot of fun and an awesome challenge. The views are amazing and nothing beats the feeling of getting to the very top! The food was the best surprise - initially thinking it couldn't possibly be that good or filling. It was both. Still, make sure to pack snacks for yourself. Overall it is a great experience to do with friends as well as to meet new people on a fun adventure.
