Because ALL Children Matter was founded by three individuals — one Canadian, one Kenyan, and one from the United States. We formed our NGO because we feel there is a need for the kind of help we are giving to the families, the children with special needs, and children living on the streets in Kenya. Our board of directors are all volunteers that our CEO, Deanne, has met through traveling and volunteering in Asia, South America, and Africa since 2012. We have come together as an international NGO with the same vision and goals, to help the children and families in Kenya. Our programs offer volunteers the chance to choose a specific project that they are passionate about and want to help make a change in a child's life. We offer diversified programs and projects with the volunteer making ...

First time volunteering abroad... Great experience!!
by: Chloe Neuberger - United StatesProgram: Special Needs TeachingI went to Kenya and volunteered in the special needs teaching program! I had the absolute best time! The team out there put me in housing with a Kenyan family who were amazing! The family took care of me and cared about teaching me the Kenyan lifestyle. The school that I taught at was exceptional. The students and teachers welcomed me with open arms. The team out in Kenya took great care of me and we were always in constant communication. Johnson and Deanne are AMAZING!!!! 11/10 reco...
The most inspiring experience!
by: Salome Denny - EnglandProgram: Feeding the Street ChildrenThe Most Inspiring Children My month in Kenya was the most invaluable experience I have ever had! I spent my time working with children that live their lives on the streets of Nairobi. I worked alongside the CEO and the Vice chair to give some of the children food. I felt safe. The NGO leaders have plenty of experience on the streets and clearly maintain a positive relationship with the children. I could sense immediately there was mutual trust! On my first visit we met with about 26 boys. ...

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I have always dreamed of working in International Development in some form or another, but when I really started to make steps toward this was after I volunteered in Nepal for three months, in 2014. It was an incredible experience, I fell in love with the people, the language, the culture, and I knew I wanted to carry on helping people wherever, whenever I could.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
Deanne, CEO of BACM, is who inspired me. I have always dreamed of being a part of an international NGO and Africa has always been the country of choice. When I was a little girl I would see commercials of orphaned children around the world, inviting viewers to send in money to help a child in need. Those commercials were key in sparking my desire to someday have an impact on children in need from around the world. My dream trip to Africa led me to Deanne and, because of her, my dream of being involved in an international NGO had come true.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I volunteered in Kenya for a month in 2018 and was lucky enough to have Deanne as my roommate. I feel in love with Kenya and volunteering almost immediately—the world needs more people making a conscious effort to make a difference!
