The Leadership in Community-based Conservation (LCC) is a certificate course that trains conservation professionals in participatory biodiversity conservation in critical ecosystem landscapes across the globe. The program explores and analyzes multimodal conservation strategies used in the Western Ghats by the AERF (Applied Environmental Research Foundation) over the past two decades and extrapolates the learnings to create replicable community-based conservation models. LCC employs experiential learning methodologies through various on-site exercises, supplementing them with the study of in-house failure and success reports.
