Join a Sea Turtle Conservation project in Greece which is now offering a two-week volunteering experience exclusively for teens aged 15 - 17. Join this hands-on project to learn about marine conservation and how human encroachment is affecting the marine habitats of the sea turtles. This project runs during the summer which is the time that sea turtles lay their eggs and hatchlings have to make it out to sea on their own. This project aims to protect turtle nests from humans and predators which give the hatchlings the best chances for survival. Volunteers will rotate between several tasks which can include: building and installing grids to protect turtle nests, collecting bamboo to build the grids, patrolling the beach and looking for turtle tracks and more.
