Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Rome with AIFS Abroad. Earn up to 17 credits studying at AIFS Abroad Global Education Center and receive credits from Fairfield University. No previous Italian language study is required. All programs begin with a 1-week language and cultural orientation. Choose between 4 academic programs: • Multi-Discipline • Intensive Italian Language Program • Study + Internship Program • Music Program (for music majors, in conjunction with Saint Louis College of Music) • Independent Study Courses Volunteer opportunities are also available. World Class Programs offers high school students the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Our summer program is designed for teens from all academic backgrounds who are excited about immersing themselves in Italian culture and lifestyle. This pre-college program offers various course study options, including Art History, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Photography, Architecture, Italian language, and Tuscan Cuisine. Students can choose a major course for daily focus (Monday to Friday) in the mornings for three hours. Then, they attend elective classes, each lasting two hours, three times a week in the afternoons. On weekends, they go on day trips around Italy to explore cultural differences from city to city. Locations vary yearly; previous participants have visited Cinque Terre, Siena, Pisa, and Venice!

Not only is Rome heartbreakingly beautiful with its 2000-year-old buildings, but the food, the people, the sound of the language, and the cappuccino will make it impossible for you not to fall madly in love with Rome. The program includes an excursion to the Saturnia Hot Springs and Siena. Refresh in the natural hot springs and then jump on the bus to Siena to experience one of the greatest towns in Tuscany. Temple University Rome offers a four-year Bachelor's degree program and well as a First-year Entry Year program (TREY) where students then complete Years 2-4 either at Temple University in Philadelphia or Temple University Japan. Temple University Rome offers study abroad semester or academic year programs of full-time study designed primarily for third-year undergraduate students.
