Day 1-3: Introduction & Workshop Training

The cost for a 4-week program is $2565 and already includes shared accommodation; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on workdays; and transportation to the workshop and rural community.

Engineering Internship - Build a Wind Turbine in Peru

At WindAid Institute, we offer an in-person or remote internship/volunteer role for Communications & Fundraising. We accept applications on a rolling basis and the duration can be flexible based on your schedule. Take a look at how you can support our wind turbine projects:

Responsibilities:
- Grow the WindAid Institute image by creating social media content
- Increase our project participants via email outreach, marketing activities
- Create new partnerships with universities & other organizations
- Develop and design marketing materials & fundraising strategies

This is an ideal role for a highly motivated person with at least one completed cross-platform social media project and an advanced level of written and oral English. Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram), Google tools (e.g. Drive, Docs), and editing/publishing tools (Photoshop, Canva) is vital.

Communications & Fundraising Intern/Volunteer

Join our team at WindAid in this 6-month internship in Peru. The role of a Workshop Engineer Assistant, Research and Design Coordinator Intern involves these responsibilities:

- Facilitate communication (Spanish/English) between Workshop Director and Engineering interns/volunteers
- Guide volunteers in the wind turbine building & installation processes
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols in the workshop
- Manage projects, from planning to monitoring to closing
- Develop and improve wind turbine system

This is an ideal role for someone with experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, demonstration of research projects, and proficient language skills in English (advanced) and Spanish (intermediate).
