Like help old people
August 23, 2024by: Mohamed Marei - EgyptProgram: Affordable Volunteer Projects in Over 70 CountriesI love helping the old people , and I love those who do this because it gives them a spirit of life and enhances their psychology for the better. I also love animals and playing with them gently and I hope that I will enjoy this volunteering because it will have a great impact on my psychological state
Truly authentic volunteer experience
March 27, 2024by: Jeremy Ebersole - United StatesProgram: Affordable Volunteer Projects in Over 70 CountriesMy experience with VFP way back in 2009 was remarkable. Living in Germany and building a labyrinth at a World Heritage Site as the only native English speaker in my group was a truly immersive experience. I didn't feel like I was coming into a place from the outside so much as I felt part of a community. Our group really bonded and while we had a primary task, many of the day to day decisions were made by the group, one of my first experiences with really being responsible for myself.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I have always been interested in travel and international voluntary service, so these trips only strengthened this desire. It got me more motivated to be a part of an organization that was connected to an international network, and I see the importance more and more every day of making friends abroad in order to create a more peaceful world. I see this through my work at Volunteers for Peace (VFP) and also my own personal travels and volunteer experience.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
Taiwan was my first trip out of the country and I quickly learned that I loved to travel, learn other languages, and experience new things. My younger sister had done a few VFP projects and suggested I called them. I did and started an internship in the office. I’ve been with them ever since.
