Take on an integral role in the conservation of sea turtles! The project focuses on increasing the birth rate and survival of hatchings. It involves data collection as well as community education on the importance of protecting sea turtles and Costa Rica’s marine ecosystem. Specific activities include the following: - Nightly beach patrols - Relocating nests into hatcheries - Tagging turtles - Counting eggs and turtles Beach patrols involve a lot of walking, which can be physically demanding.
