Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics

The Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics is aimed toward qualified doctors who wish to specialize in care for children. Upon the completion of this program, they will have a comprehensive and practical understanding of how to care for children in emergency and non-emergency situations. They will know when to refer tertiary care, manage the role of a critically ill child, identify abnormal development and the presentations of child abuse, and explain adolescent medicine and transitional care. An element of child psychiatry is also explored. The standard requirement for entry is an MBBS. Applicants also gain the chance to study at a highly ranked and accredited university in the Caribbean.
