The MBBS program plays a vital role in the training of medical doctors for the Caribbean region. It typically covers all fields of medicine such as physiology, applied pharmacology, anatomy, dermatology, pathology, otolaryngology, and microbiology. In certain semesters, you will also get to explore pediatrics and general surgery. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, MB BS graduates should have acquired a core of knowledge, competencies, and behaviors that will enable them to administer medical care and practice medicine in the region. The program for the MBBS Degree lasts not less than ten (10) semesters: Phase I (3 years/6 semesters) Phase II (2 years/4 semesters)

Program Highlights

Apply relevant knowledge from the biomedical and behavioral sciences to the care of individuals, families, and groups in community and hospital settings.

Plan and/or engage in health promotion activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles in individuals and communities.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health team and participate in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating healthcare.

Function harmoniously and constructively as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the health sector and between the health sector and other sectors of society.

Keep abreast of social, medical, and technological advances through participation in continuing medical education.
