Masters in Arts (Caribbean and African Theology)

The MA Degree in Caribbean and African Theology is an interdisciplinary program taught by faculty in the Departments of Theology, Cultural Studies, and History and Philosophy—within the Faculty of Humanities and Education at the University of The West Indies Cave Hill Campus in Barbados. The basic assumption underlying this program of study is that all theology is contextual; hence, the nomenclature 'Caribbean and African Theology'. Historically, and with the notable exception of Latin American-based Liberation Theology, theological studies in the Caribbean have been eurocentric.
