This MA program is offered on a full-time or part-time basis. It requires both coursework and a research component, which students need to successfully complete to gain the credits need to earn a degree. These credits are acquired through the completion of 4 compulsory courses and 1 elective as well as a research paper or project. Once the proposal for the research project has been approved, a supervisor is appointed to guide students in their research.

For the research component, students have diverse options (for example):
(i) presenting their findings in the form of a research paper, 
OR 
(ii) undertaking an internship in an organization and giving a cultural industry critique,
OR 
(iii) presenting their findings in the form of a project

Students have the opportunity to enroll in a multicultural Caribbean campus and experience other cultures at a highly ranked and accredited university.
