It teaches social workers how to support people in difficult circumstances in order to improve their well-being and challenge social injustice. It also teaches them to navigate legal systems to safeguard and provide protection to people who may be vulnerable within communities and assist with other services such as health care, education, housing, and even the local police force within said communities. This program enables social workers to think critically about the work they do, assisting them in developing skills in assessment and communication while understanding the importance of social justice and a keen sense of professional ethics.
