For me, studying or working abroad offers professional and personal growth—exposure to global ideas, unique job experiences, and opportunities to build connections worldwide. Others are drawn to the adventure itself: trying new foods, learning languages, and immersing themselves in history or nature. However, I knew I still wanted to stay in Europe.

I’ve always had this burning passion for diving into different cultures and learning new languages. It’s like each culture is a unique book filled with stories, traditions, and ways of thinking that are so different from my own. This curiosity isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a driving force that pushes me to engage with diverse perspectives. Every time I meet someone from a different background or pick up a new language, I feel like I’m adding another layer to my understanding of humanity. It’s fascinating how people perceive the world through their cultural lens, and I love being able to share in those experiences. Independence and personal growth On top of my love for cultures, I’ve always been an independent person. Living far from home has really tested my ability to adapt and thrive on my own. There’s something empowering about figuring things out without relying too much on others. Whether it’s navigating a new city or tackling challenges that come my way, this independence has played a huge role in shaping who I am today. It’s not always easy—there are definitely moments when I miss the comfort of home—but each challenge I face helps me grow stronger and more resilient. I was drawn to studying abroad because I wanted to experience a completely different culture and see more of Europe beyond Spain. I’ve always been fascinated by Central Europe, especially Prague, with its mix of history, culture, and vibrant student life. Studying at the University of New York in Prague also sounded like an incredible opportunity to meet people from all over the world and study English, which is so important these days. Plus, I knew it would be a challenge that would help me grow and become more independent.
