Founded in 1968, Universidad Veritas is a Costa Rican educational institution specializing in art, design, and architecture, and offering degrees in digital animation, fashion design, architecture, product design, interior design, advertising design, photography, television, and film. The university Center for International Programs has more than 30 years of experience in providing study abroad programs in Costa Rica, ranking as number one in the country in this field. 

Programs at the university range from 2-16 weeks, during which students can take English or Spanish-taught courses. Intensive Spanish learning courses start every month. Students with an advanced level of Spanish can study with locals in several fields, like digital animation and design. 

The university also offers gap year programs, where participants can explore Costa Rica while creating an artistic portfolio with a first-entry workshop. Its main purpose is to establish the foundation for design thinking. 

Internship placements are designed to provide participants with practical work experience according to their qualifications, previous work experience, aspirations, and personal preferences.
