One of the Most Enriching Times of My Life
by: Tabita Schäl - GermanyProgram: Volunteer Journey in South Africa, Transform LivesI am currently privileged to be at Tshega for six months and am enjoying this time to the fullest. The people there are a true example to me in terms of joy and contentment. Through the outreach program, I gain profound insights into the local life and culture. It is incredibly beautiful to bring a smile to the children's faces, to give love, and to spend time with them. The entire TCM team is a great role model for me in terms of their loving and appreciative interactions with one another, and I am experiencing a special spiritual enrichment in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to these experiences, I have the opportunity to explore the country with its beautiful nature and unique wildlife through various excursions. I came to serve, and I will definitely leave feeling enriched.

This time will shape my life forever
by: Tanja Weber - GermanyProgram: Volunteer Journey in South Africa, Transform LivesMy time at Tshega was an absolute enrichment for me. I was able to gain a wonderful insight into the culture and life in the Tzaneen region. Seeing how people with very little money and standards always radiate positivity, hope and faith in Jesus Christ made a deep impression on me. The various tasks and the entire team at Tshega were also great. I wouldn't want to miss this time!

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I am inspired firstly by God, who makes the Basadi Program what it is. Where we come from and where we are today and the pace we took in achieving it can only have his hand in it. Secondly, I am inspired by my team of artisans who, with no frame of reference, are achieving excellence. Thirdly, from our CEO, Ellanie van Rooyen, all the managers and staff and the effort they take to make the program great and successful - They all have great passion and drive.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I was inspired to work for Tshega (non profit organization) for the main reason that I knew that they live up to their Christian values and believe in transforming lives, uplifting the villages served, and work with young children. After my interview, I heard what my responsibilities would entail. I was even more excited to join this team.

There are so many little things that turn into big things. The team that I work with is one of my biggest inspirations. I love the opportunity to transform lives on a daily basis. I also love letting the people around me transform my life.
