The Tres Estrellas “Soil-to-Table Certification Program” is a 4-week residential program that provides training in small-scale ecological farming, farm-to-table cooking, and self-reliance. It takes place at Tres Estrellas Organic Farm and Garden located in Tecate, a city in the state of Baja CA, Mexico—one hour south of San Diego. 

This program covers the basics of small-scale, ecological farming and farm-to-table food preparation through a dynamic combination of hands-on activities, in-classroom learning, field trips, and individual projects. The farm training takes place in the garden amongst the organic fruits, vegetables, culinary herbs, egg-laying chickens, and Nigerian Dwarf goats. The farm-to-table training takes place in El Cafectio, Tres Estrellas’ organic farm-to-table café. 

The program tuition is $1,500 USD and includes shared housing, meals, transportation to and from San Diego International Airport, all curricular activities, and 2 Saturdays at Rancho La Puerta Wellness Resort and Spa.
