Journey through four European countries and discover what it means to backpack Europe with Travel For Teens! Our approach is rooted in the classic backpacker strategy—travel by rail, explore cities with various daily choices, and leave ourselves open to the spontaneous possibilities that every day brings. This is our original Older Teens trip and is a classic combination of some of the best cities and natural beauty in Europe. We will begin with the northern canals in quaint Amsterdam and travel down to the canals of charming Venice. In between, there will be plenty of time to explore famous sites such as Anne Frank’s House and fairytale castles in Munich. Take a guided tour of the Van Goh Museum, and get your adrenaline pumping with adventure activities such as hiking and canyoneering...
Program Highlights
Visit Anne Frank’s house and learn about her family’s hardship during the Holocaust.
Take in Bavarian culture in Munich, including a dinner at an authentic beer hall.
Tour a famous Swiss chateau on Lake Geneva from its highest towers to its spooky dungeons.
Climb, jump, slip, and slide your way through natural rock formations and waterfalls on an adrenaline pumping canyoning adventure.
Stroll the canals of Venice, cross the Rialto Bridge, and visit the famous St. Mark’s Square.

What a trip!
by: Evie Roberts - United StatesProgram: TFT for Older Teens: Amsterdam, Munich, Swiss Alps & VeniceI had the amazing opportunity to travel on the Europe for Older Teens trip to Amsterdam, Munich, Switzerland, and Venice with TFT in the summer of 2018 and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had! My amazing counselors were so welcoming and inclusive to not only me, but all the campers. I was a little nervous to go on the trip at first, but after just one day on the trip I knew I made the right choice! TFT programs are great because the counselors give you that independence you want, ...
Amazing time in Europe!
by: Jessica Paszko - United StatesProgram: TFT for Older Teens: Amsterdam, Munich, Swiss Alps & VeniceThis was my second trip with Travel for Teens and I was just as amazed by this one! The councilors are so knowledgeable when it comes to travel and made everything so much easier, especially for teens leaving the country for the first time. It's always scary to travel without anyone you know, but the councilors make everyone so comfortable with each other and you end up leaving trips with lasting friendships. Through my TFT trip, I was able to see so many different parts of Europe that I never t...
Best trip I've ever been on!
by: Meagan Hoffman - United StatesProgram: TFT for Older Teens: Amsterdam, Munich, Swiss Alps & VeniceMy trip with Travel for Teens to Amsterdam, Munich, Switzerland and Venice was one I’ll remember for my entire life. The people I meet and the places I saw were ones that will stay with me my entire life. From seeing the city of Amsterdam while floating down the canals to canyoning through the Swiss Alps, we saw beautiful sights in adventurous and fun ways. We strolled the streets of Venice and engaged ourselves in the Italian cuisine, and in Germany explored the Bavarian alps while bike riding....

After finishing school and my exams in May, I had a long summer ahead of me before starting university in September. Along with a long founded and keen interest in travel, it made sense to utilise this free time to go abroad.
