The TEFL Academy

I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL course with The TEFL Academy, and overall, I had a really positive experience. The course content was comprehensive, covering essential topics like lesson planning, grammar, classroom management, and different teaching methodologies. It definitely gave me a strong foundation and boosted my confidence to start teaching English abroad or online. The platform was easy to navigate, and I liked that I could work through the modules at my own pace. The assignments were challenging but fair, and I appreciated the detailed feedback from the tutors. The online resources and examples were helpful, especially for someone new to teaching. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to get TEFL certified, especially if you're looking for a reputable qualification that’s affordable and flexible.

I intentionally paced myself with taking the Level 5 course so it took me about 5 months to complete. The website is easy to use and was always accessible. I never experienced any downtime. The course material is easy to follow and provides great references, good examples, with tests along the journey that can be retaken if required or even desired. The assignments are very challenging, and re-enforces topics covered in the course material. The CopyLeaks tool was easy to use very insightful. In fact, it helps to ensure that students are actually doing their own original work while trying to keep plagiarism to an absolute minimum. The student/tutor support is excellent. Tickets were easy to raise and manage with my questions and/or clarifications which were answered almost immediately in many cases and at most within 24-48 hours. Guidance was also provided which was extremely helpful and encouraging. It was this support that really got me through to completion. The webinars were enjoyable and re-enforced the topics covered online and in the assignments. In addition, the webinars were consistent at a set time and day of the week which was perfect. The webinar format worked well too with about 30 minutes to cover the topic and 30 minutes to ask questions relating to the topic. Some webinars were an hour strictly for Q&A which students could ask any question regarding any topic. The instructors had a lot of teaching experience, shared their experience when asked, showed a lot of patience as well as their passion and love for teaching. I had never taken a full online course before and always thought that I was an in classroom learner. However, this experience has revealed to me that with the right tools and human support that it can actually be enjoyable, less stressful and even more cost-effective. This has been an awesome, enjoyable, very demanding yet extremely rewarding experience. Thank you TEFL Academy.

I have recently completed my Level 5 TEFL course with The TEFL Academy and had a positive experience. The units are broken down well and it allows you to work through at your own pace which was really helpful for me as I work full time. I do feel like coming out of this, that I am lacking the practical experience, so am looking into the next steps to gain this. I think if you were to book the course with the observed teaching included, this would tick all the boxes! The Youtube lectures are especially helpful and a great guide to walk you through the assignments, and the feedback provided by the support team was easy to understand. I do really recommend this course if you are looking to step your foot into the door of teaching English, and I am excited to
