Ban Thân, or “Best Friends” in Vietnamese, is a unique opportunity to visit one of the world’s greatest destinations: Vietnam. Participants will experience a nation filled with beauty, gracious people, and a culture that is deeply rooted. Experience city life in Hanoi before partnering with the Center for Sustainable Development to empower students at Friendship Village. Adventure through the splendor of Sapa Valley before spending time in Hoa Binh province. Help plant trees, facilitate a day camp, and teach English to children in the village. Genuine interactions, meaningful service, amazing food, and fun await in Vietnam!
Program Highlights
Explore Sapa, Tam Cốc, Hòa Bình, Bat Trang Pottery Village, Hoàn Kiếm Lake, and Hanoi Old Quarter.
Take cultural classes, including Vietnamese Cooking and Basic Vietnamese Language.
Go on a floating cruise through Tam Cốc on the Ngo Dong River.
Enjoy cultural exchange with the people of Vietnam, including Muong, Hmong, Tay, and Dao people.
Receive a Certificate of Community Service indicating the total number of hours worked and a Presidential Volunteer Service Award upon successful completion of the program.
