What projects are we working on during the trip?

We are going to visit up to 7 projects along the Oaxaca coast: Escobilla (sea turtles), Ventanilla (crocodiles and mangroves), Manialtepec (horses and ecotourism), El Gavilán (jungle), Mazunte (whales and marine fauna), and Morro Ayuta (more turtles).

Are there any vegetarian and vegan options for meals?

Yes, we adapt to special dietary requests. Our menu consists mostly of vegetarian dishes and, sometimes, includes fish and chicken. For vegans, the meals are simple (rice, black beans, tortillas...).

Can I join other dates if current dates don't fit with my schedule?

Yes, you can stay for a few days in the project or join other dates that are not in the regular schedule. Please note that choosing this option means you will only join the project in Morro Ayuta and not the full trip.

This is an opportunity to gain a unique experience that combines conservation, learning, and adventure in paradise: Mexico. As a volunteer, you will get involved in three different communities for 15 days. This program is available every month. Together, we will patrol the beach at night and look for sea turtles to protect their eggs. We will visit natural landscapes boasting magical, virgin beaches surrounded by mangroves. We will take care of deer, among the protected animals in the country, and participate in activities related to crocodiles in the most protected lagoon in the whole of Oaxaca. Experience one of the most amazing spectacles worldwide—thousands of sea turtles nesting at the same time along the beach, in a phenomenon called arribada.

Ha sido una experiencia muy auténtica, conocer México de otra forma, conviviendo en comunidades y realizando actividades para conocer su cultura, el medio ambiente y su día a día. Bea (coordinadora) es una erudita de las tortugas, el medio ambiente de la zona, una apasionada de lo que hace y muy querida en la comunidad. He aprendido con ella muchas cosas sobre las tortugas, la vegetación, costumbres...he convivido con personas maravillosas y de ellas me llevo lo mejor de cada una.

This volunteer was a wonderful experience. I learnt a lot about the country, the local people and about the environment. I could participate in different activities and experiences that it made me evolve as a person. I met with different people that now are good friends and made me feel like home.
