Armenia is an ancient civilization that is a combination of East and West. The country is developing—with high urbanization and, unfortunately, many social and economic development issues in the rural areas. STEP Beyond Borders cooperates with NGOs in the country to promote volunteering in the rural areas of Armenia thus giving foreigners a chance to contribute to the new generation of the Armenian villages and help them develop their communities. 

We offer volunteer programs:
- Teaching English
- Support to Social-Financial Education Program
- Community development
- Girl empowerment 
- Renovation and reconstruction of schools
- Health

For the English Teaching Program, the minimum requirements are:
- C2 / C1 language proficiency - of high importance
- Any ELT (English Language Teaching) qualification - of fair importance
- Promoting 21st century skills, i.e. soft skills - of high importance
- Organizing community-led activities - of high importance
