St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) is a recognized and registered nonprofit/charity dedicated to promoting cross-cultural understanding through travel and volunteer experiences in Ghana. Our programs are ideal for individuals or groups on a gap year or career break, or those seeking short-term volunteer opportunities.

This initiative focuses on constructing and renovating orphanages, clinics, schools, toilet facilities, libraries, and community centers. Volunteers work alongside local communities and SMWEF Ghana staff. Tasks include painting, bricklaying, block shaping, carpentry, steel bending, plastering, and mortar mixing. Outside work hours, they engage with community elders and immerse themselves in local culture through drumming, music, and dance.

Perfect for short-term volunteering, this program doesn’t require skills. Make a meaningful impact, even within a week. Make sure to bring gloves, a flashlight, sun protection (scarf or hat), insect repellent, sturdy boots, and water bottles.
