Ssamba Foundation runs an organic farm just 40 minutes drive south of Mukono, located close to the beautiful Lake Victoria and surrounded by beautiful nature. This is a cool place to hang out with the locals as you enjoy organically grown foods and bask in the beauty of nature.

Ssamba Foundation strives to improve the livelihoods of this rural community through a farm project focused on improved agriculture practices and environmentally sustainable technologies. We also use the farm to teach children simple methods like growing organic fruits and vegetables: tomatoes, maize, beans, cabbage, onions, carrots, pumpkins, watermelons, mangoes, and passion fruit.

The organization invests in agriculture because it is the backbone of Uganda's economy, with over 80 percent of the population directly or indirectly involved in various aspects of this sector.

Volunteer work at the farm varies from day to day and season to season. This is the perfect opportunity to be of service while gaining valuable life experiences in farming in Uganda. Participants are essential in all operations at this beautiful organic farm project.
