Volunteer in India: Drinking Water Bore Wells

Help local communities from needy areas in India during this volunteer project. People in the target areas trek long distances to collect water from the streams, which are contaminated. As a result, many households—especially children—are affected by waterborne diseases. They also lack access to sanitation facilities and hygienic latrines and only use the ‘bush’. Their general living conditions are dismal. Our project beneficiaries belong to the poor and marginalized Backward Class, Scheduled Caste, and Tribal communities. They are laborers in agricultural fields and some of them go to nearby towns in search of livelihood.
