Complete an internship abroad, choosing from semester or summer terms with credits transferable through Jacksonville University. Students pair the program with Italian language and elective courses as a part of their total credits - 3 credits (150 hours) or 6 credits (270 hours). They should speak with their university in advance about credit transfer.

Placements are available in a variety of fields. Students wishing to participate in an international internship course in Sorrento, Italy, should meet the following criteria: 
1. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0
2. Rising junior or senior status based on earned credits
3. Already accepted into a study major
4. Successful completion of core course work in the major
5. A clean discipline record from the home university
6. Fluency in Italian is not required, but students must possess a basic competency or enroll simultaneously in an Italian language course

Students must upload their résumé to the application form with an objective that clearly describes their expectations for the internship. They may choose between 3 and 6-credit internship options as well as consider a 9-credit placement, which is available on a case-by-case basis for direct-credit from the student’s home university.
