Rothberg International School

Overseas students have been attending the Hebrew University since its opening in 1925. The first organized group of 22 American students arrived for a full year of accredited study in 1955. This laid the groundwork for the One Year Program (today called the Undergraduate Study Abroad Program) and eventually its home, the School for Overseas Students, which was formally inaugurated in 1971. On its 10th anniversary, the School was dedicated in honor of Sam Rothberg, whose vision, initiative and drive were major factors in its creation and development. Today the School has become an international arena, attracting students from around the world.
