Conservation Programs in Kenya for Teens

Join the Conservation Program of Projects Abroad, a project based at the Soysambu Conservancy in Kenya. It allows you to get involved with a range of activities in a 48,000-acre reserve situated in the Great Rift Valley. The place is a breeding ground and home to diverse wildlife species, including the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe. Together with other young volunteers, you will help with ongoing activities wherein one of the primary goals is to keep track of the Rothschild's giraffe population as part of a protection effort. You will also assist with manual tasks, such as gathering data on various species within the area; getting rid of alien plants; preventing soil erosion; and repairing roads or fences.
