My experience in Fiji was absolutely amazing. This was my 4th time in Fiji, but my 1st time volunteering. Everything from the placement itself, to housing and activities were absolutely amazing. The staff are so supportive and friendly, constantly checking on us and making sure we were at our best. I would absolutely recommend this project to anyone who was interested, you make so many new friends and meet so many new people! It makes it very hard to leave, but it was so fun that you’ll probably...

Amazing Human Rights Project

by: Eastwood YeboahProgram: Global Leader In Meaningful Travel. Trusted By 130,000

My previous accommodation with Projects Abroad was canceled by my institution days before I was scheduled to leave. When given the option of doing a different project, this company was incredibly flexible and was able to ensure all my needs were met to have a successful project. I truly loved my time in Arusha, Tanzania, and believe that this experience happened for a reason. I would not change it for the world!

What inspired you to travel abroad?

Normally I am a fulltime Program Advisor in the Projects Abroad office in New York, but this last summer I spent three months in Nepal as a coordinator on the Care and Community High School Special program. It is based in Kathmandu and includes a weekend trip to Chitwan National Park.

I had a semester off before starting university and I wanted to do something worthwhile with my time. I had never left the country before. I knew I wanted to teach abroad, so I researched volunteer programs where I could teach in some form.
