The Most Supportive Program Director – Stavros!

He truly cares about each student, always making sure we are getting the most out of our experience. I shadowed doctors in cardiology, general surgery, and emergency medicine and even observed a laparoscopic gallbladder removal! Everything was in English, and the excursions were just as exciting as the clinical experience. 10/10 recommend!
A Must-Do Program for Any Pre-Health Student!

I chose my rotations and shadowed doctors in anesthesiology, radiology, and gastroenterology. The highlight? Watching a live robotic-assisted surgery! Plus, we traveled to Athens, visited ancient temples, and enjoyed authentic Greek cuisine. Stavros was always checking in, making sure we were comfortable and learning as much as possible!

Unparalleled Surgical Experience for Med Students
February 18, 2025by: Sophie M - CanadaProgram: Shadow Doctors in Greece: 25+ Hours Hands-On LearningI was amazed by how much surgical exposure I got during my Philotimo Med Abroad experience. I saw an open-heart surgery, an orthopedic knee replacement, and even robotic-assisted general surgeries! The program is in English, and the doctors were so welcoming. Outside the hospital, we explored Greek islands, ancient ruins, and the best cafes. Stavros made sure everything was smooth and stress-free!
