Onward Israel

I did Onward Israel as a rising sophomore at Brown University studying biomedical engineering. I had an incredible time in Haifa! It is a wonderful city with so much going on such as Tuesday night Israeli Dancing, yoga classes, the beach, Carmel National Park and of course incredible research going on at the Technion. Onward Israel was my second time in Israel, the first being for Birthright the previous winter. Going into the Onward program, I didn't know anyone else, however, everyone here quickly became a family to me and I was lucky to have such an amazing group. Last summer I interned at Advanced MemTech with David in their Engineering department. While I reported directly to a Chemical Engineer, I addressed mechanical aspects of the production process with the goal of making it five to ten times faster. I became very familiar with the means of production of the MemTech production process and I was trained in key steps in the manufacturing of the product.
